This week, the inauguration of the Couche-Tard Connecté innovation lab in partnership with McGill University in Montreal was held. Including a fully frictionless store, the lab fosters collaborations between key players in retail, emerging technologies, and start-ups, offering researchers and students a chance to do research and testing in a live retail environment.

Many distinguished guests such as members of the Quebec Government joined our teams to officially inaugurate this unique location and celebrate ACT’s excellence in innovation and our team’s contribution in helping understand and shape the future of retail.

Not only were the customer experience and technology front and centre during the event, but more importantly our people and the power growing together which allows us to succeed in our innovation journey and be a future ready company and workplace of choice:

Our teams in store are and will continue to be at the heart of the success of our customer experience because they are the ones that allow us to provide excellent customer service with a fresh food offering that sets us apart. Not only do our people prepare this offer, but they make sure that the products are always available to make our customers' lives a little easier every day.

Sophie Provencher, Vice President, Québec West

As we continue to open more frictionless locations across our network, with the latest being renovated locations in Arizona, we hope to continue learning from these experiences as we get ready for the future and keep making it easier for our people and customers.
