This week, our President and CEO Brian Hannasch proudly accepted the award for Retail Leader of the Year at the NACS annual gathering in Chicago, Illinois. This honor was given by Winsight/CSP News at an event with over 250 industry and ACT team members attending in recognition of Brian’s tremendous contribution to the company and the c-store industry over the course of his career.
Winsight Vice President Mitch Morrison led off the event by speaking about Brian’s “impressive ascent from his days at Bigfoot, a fine Indiana chain, to heading one of the biggest c-store chains in the world.”
Our founder and Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alain Bouchard, sent congratulations to Brian via a recording and praised him for his strong commitment to his family and to his ACT family. Mr. Bouchard thanked Brian for all he has done to grow the company and the special culture upon which it is founded. Other team members also shared congratulatory messages during the event:
Probably the best thing Brian has introduced me to is a very special team and culture when I joined ACT four years ago. It is a place where humility is balanced with playing to win and doing the right thing... and having a lot of fun along the way! For those of you who don't know Brian, I can tell you - he is a great guy - amazing leader who is completely committed to the people and performance of Couche-Tard/Circle K.

The celebration concluded with Brian expressing his gratitude to all of ACT's frontline heroes for getting us through these difficult days, and sharing his optimistic outlook for the future of the business and the globe as we move forward together.
