Committed to local support for communities
In Augusta, Georgia, Circle K sponsors the Augusta Green Jackets Reading Program that helps promote reading for elementary school children in the Augusta area. In Columbus Ohio, store employees participate in the Toys for Tots Program each holiday season. We also collaborate with Feeding America and MilkPEP raising funds that convert to vouchers for the food banks to provide to recipients. Recipients can then redeem the vouchers at Circle K or Kangaroo Express stores in their communities.
For a second consecutive year in Québec, we sponsored a Breakfast Club school. Twice a week throughout the year, employees from our Service and Distribution Centers in Laval offer their time to serve breakfast to children.
Couche-Tard has been in partnership with the Québec Soccer Federation since 2013, promoting sports to youngsters in all regions of the Province of Québec. The Federation reaches some 200,000 soccer players in 18 regional associations. At the same time, our Québec East & Atlantic business unit has been sponsoring shirts for 54 soccer teams in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, supporting around 1,000 players.
Last December in Arizona, our support office employees volunteered to help UMOM, the largest homeless shelter for families in the state of Arizona, through gift wrapping and a toy drive which collected 200 toys for homeless families.
In many of our business units and over many years, we have held blood drives, inviting our support office people to give blood and give back to their communities.
